I moved into our appart. I had to borrow a cart from the catering services downstairs in order to do it, but I accomplished the whole thing in twenty minutes and made it back to my car in time to hear an interview with Jenn and Andy on the radio. In this apartment we can leave the windows open all the time for a little extra air circulation and a little extra flavor. Once again I am privy to the conversations of drunks in the street!
To begin this little city life, I set my folded clothes on the shelf, tried out each chair, took a walk and decided upon my favorite bench in Mount Vernon. I guess that’s it. Here I am.John and Justyna’s wedding was amazing. Nina is the coolest baby on Earth. We all teared up at the enormity of that little family, and then we celebrated it. In my excitement, I spilled and sprayed things all over the place. I also danced like a fiend and talked to special people about special things. I don’t always have the courage to tell people what I think about them, but when I do, it warms me up for days. Seriously, life is amazing.
Then today I went to Leigh, Jesus and Sarah’s. We had dinner on the deck and I spewed out all of these things which have been exciting me lately. Leigh and Jesus humored my giddiness and then went inside, but Sarah stuck around until it was too dark to see. We dug through the family psyche. It was good. Sarah is my treasure.
And Stewart is off in Europe with Clan Campbell, which is also very, very good, but I will feel better when he is back and the summer will begin in earnest.
Shit, man! Things are happening so fast! This last week before Stew’s return was looking long and vacant, but now it’s stacked with happy plans. C’est parti.
